ASHLEY & ANDREW | THE CROSSING AT HOLLAR MILL | HICKORY, NC
There are so many words to describe Ashley and Andrew’s big day! It was filled with sunshine, love, happiness… and rock n roll. It was a reception to remember! Just scroll down to find out! But before we get there… let’s start from the beginning. I met Ashley through one of my college friends who was also a bridesmaid in the wedding! Ashley is one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met – she’s got a heart of gold!
Ashley and her mom!Ashley got ready with her bridesmaids at her parents home just south of Morganton, NC. We found some shade and Ashley and Andrew shared their first look!
Andrew gave us the thumbs up! Go time!YES!
In love with this shot of her hair and veil!It was so sweet! Afterwards we called the rest of the bridal party out for photos. It was definitely a hot day and everyone did such a great job keeping it together for the shots we needed! Shoutout to the groomsmen for bringing some water bottles to me and my second shooter, Candi, as we stood in the sun!The bride and her brother!
Limos picked up the bridal party and we caravanned into Morganton for the ceremony at Ashley’s childhood church.
After the ceremony, we drove to The Crossing at Hollar Mill in Hickory, NC to dance the night away!
INTRO TIME!
Ashley’s Dad was in a band called Travesty. They got together to perform for the wedding! But! That’s not all… there were loads of other musical surprises along the way. I couldn’t believe all the talent!Ashley played the flute, her dad sang and played guitar, her sister-in-law played a tambourine, her father-in-law played a trombone…Her mom played a sax and did this silly number with her father-in-law!
I snuck outside with Ashley and Andrew just after dinner to get some shots outside! I liked the industrial look of this area!
Back to the party! Dancing, singing, craziness, and a sparkler exit!
Thank you to Candi Leonard Photography for second shooting with me and all the vendors who made this day happen for Ashley & Andrew!
