FLASHBACK 2016: BRIDAL PARTY
FLASHBACK 2016: BRIDAL PARTY
As I’ve said before, I’m always a sucker for wedding details. Aside from knowing how the proposal happened or what kinds of flowers the bride is envisioning for her bouquet, one of my other favorite questions to ask is WHO is going to be standing up at the altar? Sister? BFF from college? Long time friend from pre-school? Who are your people? Those people are the ones you support you through thick and thin, are there for you every step of the way, and the ones you shake it with on the dance floor. One of my favorite parts of the day is getting to meet everyone during the getting ready portion and getting to make a fool out of myself to get them to laugh during group photos.
My other favorite part (I know it looks like every part is my favorite part… oops)… okay but really… one of my other favorite parts is getting to hear about the bride & groom during speeches. I get to hear stories about how the groom helped his best man during a hard transition period or how the bride is the most caring and helpful friend the MOH could ask for… I get to hear examples of their good character and silly stories of their adventures… I’m not lying when I say I get choked up sometimes! (Tales of receptions will be coming in a later post!)
All in all, I like getting to hear about the real connections and see the interactions of the bride and groom and their best friends! Cheers to friends and fun on wedding days!
I captured this shot of the groomsmen while I was 2nd shooting for Photography by Marirosa! I loved the green lanterns and the wood everywhere so I had the guys stand behind the table in the restaurant. I was standing outside on the patio for this shot at Barrel & Bushel in Tysons! Too cool!I love this shot that my 2nd shooter got of the bridesmaids at Ashley’s wedding!
Lora’s bridesmaids were Taylor, her twin sister, and Anna, her new sister-in-law! They were the sweetest bunch!Sister, sister!
Short and sweet! TJ’s groomsman was his brother and Delaney’s bridesmaid was her sister!Christine and her bridesmaids and bridesman!
I love that they changed into traditional Vietnamese clothing for a few photos!!This group was so fun!Boys are always crazy… shoutout to my 2nd shooter for getting all of these crazy guys in action.LOVED those purple dresses that Marta chose for her bridesmaids!Sisters! Can I bring that stone backdrop with me everywhere?!One of my favorite color combos of the year! I loved that each girl got to wear a navy or silver dress of their choice! The cutest candid moment of Julia and her little brother!Shoutout to my 2nd shooter who capture the boys in their true goofy fashion. How adorable are these little flower girls! Rainey used to babysit for them and they were SO happy to be in the wedding!l o l… the boys always kill it! haha!
