MORGAN & STEVE | BRITTLAND ESTATES WEDDING | CHESTERTOWN, MARYLAND
Brittland Estates, wow, what a gorgeous place for a wedding! I can’t think of anything I didn’t love about that venue! Morgan and Steve’s day was beautiful, relaxed, and filled with their closest family and friends! Just a few short years ago, I photographed Morgan’s sister’s wedding (Cortney – a fellow Hollins girl!) so it was good to see her and the family again! Brittland Estates is a dream because everything is in one place and we lucked out completely with no rain! I arrived to find the girls in their bridal suite (full of natural light!) putting on their finishing touches. I photographed Morgan’s gorgeous bridal details – including a SUPER CUTE ring dish that her sisters had gifted her after she and Steve got engaged! Morgan and Steve met at Washington College, just a few minutes from Brittland Estates! It was so special for them to come back to the town where it all began.
After the gals got ready, we headed outside for her father-daughter first look and bridesmaid portraits! My wonderful second shooter, Jen, took photos of the boys by the river and we teamed back up before the ceremony began! During the ceremony, the cute ring dish (as mentioned before) was passed through the guests, row by row, to give their blessings to Morgan and Steve. I thought it was such a sweet touch (literal touch) to the ceremony! The ceremony was short and sweet and followed by family photos and bridal party shots on the front lawn!
We rode in the golf cart down to the river house to where Morgan and Steve’s dog, Laila, was hiding out! We took some bride and groom photos with Laila then headed back up to the garden for a few last shots before they were introduced for the first time as Mr and Mrs Cameron into the reception!
Oh, the dances. They GET me. I’m lucky I can hide behind a camera because all of the first dances make me tear up! Morgan and Steve danced to Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett… and we know how SWEET that song is!
Okay, I’m talking too much… let’s get to the photos!! Check out Morgan and Steve’s classically beautiful Brittland Estates wedding, shall we?
