ALLI & ANDREAS | WHITEHALL ESTATE | BLUEMONT, VA

I remember Alli’s inquiry for her wedding at Whitehall Estate last year. My thoughts, even before we met, were how excited I was to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding in the garden at Whitehall Estate! When Alli and I met last year, she told me how she envisioned a garden-inspired wedding with lots of florals… well, let’s fastforward to the wedding day where I was literally blown away at Alli’s details. I’m telling you, this lawyer-to-be might want to consider opening up an Etsy shop because you won’t believe your eyes when I show you all that she did for this wedding! I loved the blues in the bridal party to her shoes that matched her self designed invitation suite to the lace in the veil that was hand selected by Alli and her mom in Peru. The details were stunning; the artistic talent blew my mind!

I haven’t forgotten about Andreas! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a groom beam so much as I hugged him hello and told him Alli was about to get into her dress! He couldn’t WAIT to see her walk down the aisle. His eyes lit up so big and his smile never went away… all day! Andreas and the groomsmen sang together in college and the morning was nothing short of a concert. Incredible talent that… may or may not have made an appearance at the end of their brunch wedding! Stay tuned!

The ceremony was romantic and sweet. Andreas read his vows as if he was reading a Shakespearean poem… I’ve never heard something more poetic! There were readings by friends and family and the ceremony was officiated by Andreas and Alli’s professor whose class they met in while they both attended William And Mary! How cool!

I’ve never been to a brunch wedding before… but when duck donuts and crepes are involved, I’m all for it! The reception was unlike any other partially due to the fact it was only 11:30am and to the other fact that they had an open mic for friends to play songs and sing! Such talented friends! The rest of the time, Katie and Logan, and incredible due, wowed the crowd with covers and favorite dance hits! Outside, guests played cornhole on custom painted boards that the maid of honor painted herself… I know… insane, right?! You’ll see…

Thank you Alli and Andreas for asking me to capture this exciting day in your life! I had a blast at your beautiful brunch wedding at Whitehalll Estate!

Everyone was handed a flower before the ceremony. After the ceremony, guests were instructed to fill the vase in the back with their flowers.
