EMMEY | MANASSAS BATTLEFIELD SENIOR SESSION
I admit I was a little nervous. The forecast called for rain for the WHOLE WEEK and I was freaking out. Tuesday’s weather was SUPPOSED to be cloudy and overcast… instead… the afternoon was PERFECT with golden sunlight to end the day. We scored BIG TIME for Emmey’s senior session at the Stone Bridge at the Manassas Battlefields – one of my favorite places to shoot in Virginia. Emmey was a little nervous, like most clients are… but I’m always sure to tell my clients that they can’t mess up. It’s impossible! I know it’s intimidating to be in front of the camera – I even feel nervous when I’m on the other side, too! My job is to help make the session fun and let them know it’s not as scary as they think! Even after mentioning that she wasn’t sure what to do… this was her FIRST photo… GORGEOUS! The rest of the session was a breeze! I chatted to her about applying for college and figuring out where she wants to go to school

I’ve been to the Stone Bridge when there have been so many sessions happening at the same time – no one else was around … except for a few runners! Yay us!
We raced down the street (okay… it was more of a snail crawl in traffic) to the open field… snagged one photo with the sun coming over the trees then ended in perfectly even lighting in the openness of the battlefield. As much as I love golden hour… twilight is just as beautiful.
